The Inspire 3 is a large, cinema-grade drone. Its camera produces images on par with Hollywood films and is often used for feature film production. It has a higher resolution sensor, interchangeable lenses, and allows two operators (one for flying, one for moving the camera). You can capture far more dynamic and higher quality footage with the Inspire 3. The Mavic 3 Cine is a prosumer drone with cinema-grade features like the ProRes codec. The images it produces remain amazing for documentaries and commercials. However, since it only allows one operator, it is challenging to capture fast, dynamic shots.

FPV stands for "First Person View." FPV drones are fully manual as opposed to our drones from DJI, so they are much more difficult to operate and require years of practice to safely fly. The steep learning curve is worth it! FPV drones allow pilots to get incredibly engaging and dynamic footage and are primarily used for fast-paced, action oriented productions. Standard drones fly, but FPV drones allow you to fly like a bird!

It's complicated. The NYPD allows you to apply for permits 30 days or more in advance. The fee is $150. If your application is accepted you are permitted to fly specifically for what they approve. New York City also has five model aircraft fields where drones are permitted without an application. Any other drone use in NYC is considered unlawful.
